If I could tell my younger self one thing... Life gets way better and so does your hair!

We are SO much more than our hair, yet it does define us. I cringe saying that, but it’s true. If someone is looking for me in a crowd, guess what they are looking for? Yep, a curly redhead.

After 40 years (ok, 50), I LOVE who I have become! And, in part, that includes embracing who I naturally am. Tall, introverted, animal-loving, churro-eating curly girl. And I’m not mad about it!

Perhaps all of this shaped my sense of humor, humility and identity.

My name is Jenifer Jaquith

and I am the survivor of many at home perms and bathroom haircuts given to me by a not-so-innocent party (you know who you are).

During the pandemic, more and more of my clients came to me worried about thinning hair. I wanted to help, and I knew exactly how they felt. Losing your hair can feel like losing part of who you are, and the fear that nothing can be done only makes it worse.

That sent me deep into the world of women’s hair loss and restoration. Women’s hair loss has been brushed aside for far too long, and it’s time it got the attention it deserves. So I studied trichology, the science of hair and scalp health. Today I help women find answers and personalized solutions for their hair and scalp concerns.

Thinning Hair Deserves Real Answers

I got into cosmetology because I wanted to understand the science of hair, especially curls. (Okay, mostly my own curls.) After a lifetime of bad haircuts, I couldn’t figure out why my hair was so much harder to cut and manage than everyone else’s. I assumed the problem was me.

Turns out I had plenty of company. So many women with curly hair have felt the same way. But it’s not you. Your hair is simply one of a kind.

No two curly heads are alike, just like no two fingerprints are. Think of it like laundry. You’d never wash silk and denim the same way, because each fabric has its own needs. Your curls deserve that same attention. They need to be cut, styled and cared for based on your curl pattern, not someone else’s.

It Was Never You. It Was the Haircut.
